Inpsired by Alphonse Mucha’s ‘Portrait of a Woman’ this project was research based on how POC have historically been left out of being depicted in fine art. Mucha was known for creating images of etherial white woman that were ‘liberated.’ I captured portraits of black women in his aesthetic to fit the thesis of my research project.
